With over 12 years experience in software development, support, and training, I have broad and deep experience.
Over five years at Adobe Systems taught me how to listen to and honor the customer, to focus on building the best user experience possible given the resources and time available, and to be proactive in my support and training for the client. My time there also taught me the value of community and user contribution. At Adobe, we were doing "Web 2.0" long before the phrase "Web 2.0." My last project at Adobe was co-developing the User to User Forums, an online community that is still going strong after eight years using the same design and technology. In "Internet time", eight years is an eternity.
Another five years at IDX Systems and GE Healthcare taught me how to integrate disparate, complex systems across a wide spectrum of platforms and technologies, along with the value of planning, testing, and collaboration. It was there that I also realized the vast potential the Web has to help people educate themselves and solve their problems.
